DATELINE January 25th 2008 a rain soaked exterior, a warm Monster truck interior.
January is almost over?? Whew! Hope everyone is ready for a great year. We are!

The end of 2007 saw Monster Lighting doing a variety of things. Commercials for Wallmart, Coke, Burger King, "Dirt" promos, "Night Rider" promos, Verizon, Subway and Victoria's Secret. We also provided gear for the pilot "Life in The Food Chain", written and directed by Eric Moe.

Starting the year out Monster trucks have been seen all over town doing spots for Bud Light, True Credit, Lexus and State Farm.
We also provided gear for a rock n roll documentary featuring Jimmy Page and the Edge.

Director Tim Claffey on left directs talent on
a recent  "True Credit" spot.

We are especially excited about expanding into Grip rentals this year.  We now feature a full service grip department and have had our Grip trucks out on many commercials.  As with the rest of our inventory, we pride ourselves on the quality of our gear.  One stop shopping for both grip and electric makes it easy for production as well.

Look for some big changes in our website in the coming months!  We are in the process of linking all our items for rent to pictures.  This is a great feature for being sure what you are ordering and for showing clients what you are proposing to use.  We just finished shooting our entire inventory on location a stones throw from the Bob Hope airport.

Monster trucks are fun to lean on!
We feature extra long lift gates for easy
loading and unloading.

We are happy to continue renting our Briese Lights and Monster Boxes.  Every week more and more people are coming to depend on these lights for their various film projects.

We wish all good luck and good fortune in the coming year.
Thanks to everyone for your continued support.
See you on set.

DATELINE August 24th, an ocean container in earshot of the Bob Hope Airport.
WOW. Where did that summer go? I hope you were able to squeeze in some fun. It was tough cause it's been BUSY.
Let's start where I left off...

This years Cinegear show was a resounding success! Sure, it was great to show off our Monster Boxes and our newly aquired Briese lights direct from Germany, but beyond that, it's always so much fun to see faces from the past. We also met tons of DPs and Gaffers who were very excited by what we're doing. Here's a shot of some Cinegear participants gathering around the Monster Lighting booth.

Monster Lighting also seen around town doing commercials for Texas Instruments, NFL Films, ABC Promos, DSW, Dominoes Pizza and Victoria's Secret. Also an awesome video for Velvet Revolver "The Last Fight". Now it's pretty well known I'm a musical snob. I gotta tell ya, I thought this band rocked! The song was excellent and JHawk did a mind blowing job of capturing it on film. I was happy to be a part of it.

Take a look at these Monster Boxes hard ar work on a DSW Commercial. Great, powerfull light sources with a wonderful wrap quality.

Summer is coming to a close kids. We are thankful for being blessed with so many great experiences and wonderful people.

I hope your world is bright.
See you on set.

Dateline June 1st. Monster Lighting HQ.

It's that time of year again my friends. The annual Cine Gear Expo trade show is almost here. This is THE best trade show in L.A. to see all the latest and greatest film tools as well as catch up with faces from the past. This will be the third appearance of Monster Lighting at Cine Gear Expo and we are thrilled to be participating again. Our booth will be in the large white tent just like last year. Look for us on your right as you enter the tent. Of course we will be displaying Monster Boxes, but the real big news for us this year is the addition of our Briese Lights to our inventory. Come by and see a 180, 140 and 77 Briese light up close and working. We are excited to offer these fine lighting instruments to the film community and would love to show you how they function.
